Let It All Out!

I have just decided to move on with my life and let my flat out as I head up north for a while. It was important that I found a good person to move in and look after my flat. I headed to the nearest letting agents manchester has to offer and asked them for their help.

It was a breezeeeeeeee! I was all sorted with rent coming in and a fantastic person moving in. I had sorted the problem out and now had a clear head to further plan for my big move. It was a relief knowing that when I returned, the flat would be in good hands.

Sunny days

The weather in Britain is similar to a football team’s run of form. There are good days, and there are bad days. Like a decent midfield player, the weather can suddenly attack from all sides, left or right. Suddenly a moment similar to a ray of sunshine can come out of nowhere has a 40 yard screamer secures the points for a team. Like a flood caused by excessive rainfall, sometimes attacks cannot be stopped, sandbags act as a defence to ones downfall. As a defender stands tall, as do communities against flooding and other natural disasters. However, at times, there is nothing they can do to stop the water getting into their homes, there is nothing they can do about stopping a 25 yard dribble and curling shot into the top right hand corner.

Like the British weather, the great game of football can be so predictable yet at times amazingly unpredictable. The same shock you get when sun turns to thunder and you get soaked in a matter of minutes, can be compared to the shock of your team getting trashed at home by the team sitting at the foot of the league table.

You shouldn’t have to fly solo

The price of flying reached rock bottom, and I had friends coming back from exotic places bragging of flights for only £1 per seat. And as the price of flights are now watched very carefully, I decided to get on board the cheap flight wagon before they rocketed way out of reach.

A budget airline flight got me on a plane to Ireland for £5 return, not quite as exotic as some of the places that friends had been able to swindle, but it would do for me.

I had recently bought a new phone off of Marmalade Communications, and was excited to take it with me and get it all set up with my contacts and just-the-right-ringtone on the way over. Of course I realised that I would have to wait until I got over to Ireland- I couldn’t go setting it up on the plane lest I get an earful from the heavily made up flight attendant. But why is it that we can’t make phonecalls on flights?

There are the ideas that the electronics would somehow interrupt the flight signal, or some other jargon, which I found after research doesn’t actually have solid evidence. The main reason is down to what the airlines take to be popular consensus: People don’t like phone chatter, it’s irritating. But I’ve travelled on trains many a time, and the ‘constant chatter’ doesn’t bother me. And if you’re sat by yourself for hours at a time all you want is a natter with your friends.

Personally I fell the ban should be lifted: I can’t go without checking my Marmalade Communications phone for one minute, let alone a one hour flight.
